Ingredients
2cupschickpeas cooked or 1 1/4 can
1tbsptahini
juice of a half lemon
1-2garlic cloves
1tbspextra virgin olive oil +1 tsp for topping
1/4tspsalt
1tspground cumin
1/2cupwater or more depending on desired consistency
1tspsmoked paprika and a pinch for topping optional
Instructions
Place all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until all well combined and smooth.
Taste the hummus to see if it’s got enough salt. Add water at this step, if more liquid consistency is desired.
To serve hummus, place it to a small bowl and drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle some paprika or chili flakes and sesame seeds on top (all optional). Bring some sliced veggies (carrot, cucumber, bell peppers) and/or wholegrain crackers on the side.
