  • 1 large banana ripe
  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp agave/maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup plant milk

Instructions

  • Mash a banana in a bowl and add cocoa powder, cinnamon and agave/maple syrup.
  • Add flour and mix till homogeneous.
  • Start adding milk and stirring slowly until the dough is liquid enough for waffles (should be a bit thicker than for pancakes). *
  • Cook until slightly crispy surface and serve without hesitation while still hot. Top up with your favorite toppings, e.g. nuts, fruits, berries, nut butter and/or maple syrup.

Notes

  • If you do not posses a waffle makes, it's no problem! Just add a bit more liquid to the dough (plant milk or water) and bake on a pan. It will end up just as delicious. You may need to add some olive/coconut oil to cook the pancakes, unless you want to make them oil free.
