100gcoconut flakes + some more to cover the raffaello balls
150gcoconut creamtop of refrigerated coconut milk can + 2 tbsp coconut milk/cream (for chocolate cover)
2tbspmaple syrup
1tspvanilla extract
25gvegan dark chocolate or chocolate chips
10-20hazelnuts/almonds optional
a pinch of salt optional – to elevate the flavors
Instructions
Mix coconut flakes, coconut cream, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Make sure the consistency is solid (add more coconut flakes if too moist or coconut cream if too dry).
Roll bliss balls and push a hazelnut into the middle of the ball (optional, can be replaced to almond or skipped altogether).
Melt dark chocolate/chocolate chips in a microwave or on the stovetop, stir in the coconut milk.
Place part of coconut bliss balls onto a tray covered with parchment paper or a plate and cover with liquid chocolate. Top with some coconut flakes, if desired.
Roll the rest of the bliss balls in coconut flakes, making sure they are well-coated. Place next to the chocolate-coated balls and refrigerate for an hour (quick fix is to place them into the freezer for 15 mins instead).
