Occasionally, I feel nostalgic for cutlets I used to have so often for a meal in my childhood. These Crunchy Vegan Lentil Burger Patties is one of the recipes I turn to satisfy this nostalgic craving.
With a juicy texture inside, thanks to soaked uncooked lentils, crunchy cover, and flavorful taste, these plant-based cutlets stand out from the range of other recipes in my eyes (or mouth :P).
These patties are very quick to make out of simple ingredients. Many of those are likely to be readily available. The only condition to be pre-planned is soaking lentils (for a couple of hours or overnight) before cooking.
This recipe allows you to batch, make patties, and freeze excess so that you can have access to a quick meal at any time.
Very simplistic, these Crunchy Vegan Lentil Burger Patties will surprise you with how flavorful and aromatic they are. Nutmeg plays a significant role in such flavoring, so whenever possible, try not to skip it from the process.
These Lentil Patties are very nutritious. Four patties will get you around 20g of protein, a similar amount of fiber, 8g of iron (over half of the advised daily value for women, and close to recommended daily value for men) with less than 400 calories.
Enjoy these patties served with fresh salad on a side, or with any other garnish of your choice. For instance, I would imagine mashed potatoes going well here too. Bon appetit!
Enjoy these Crunchy Vegan Lentil Burger Patties served with fresh salad on a side, or with any other garnish of your choice. For instance, mashed potatoes would make a great side-dish. Clearly, they would go well on a burger bun, too (even better if that bun is whole wheat vs white bun).
